I love the new blog design!

Also–complicated is not bad. It’s a fabulous thing to be versatile and well-rounded. Embrace it! Why can’t you be a Jimmy Buffett-loving, beer-drinking, fun guy AND a “Bible-thumping”, homeschooling, family man? I don’t think being one means you can’t be the other. Some of the best people I’ve ever met have been diverse and had lots of interests, values, and experiences. It keeps you interesting!

Like I said in the other post, you will never make everyone happy. It’s also not the judgement of those people that should matter. Sounds like you are out to please God, your family, and of course, yourself. That sounds much more fulfilling and important to me anyway!

Hi All – Thanks for the great comments. I hope that most people understand where I’m coming from. Even though I’m trying to be ‘real’ it’s not easy to stop worrying that someone, somewhere, will get the wrong idea about me or be less inclined to accept my witness as a representative of my Amazing God. I wouldn’t want to do that.

A friend of ours says “It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.” I agree and I say “I don’t have to be perfect to be a Christian, or to be loved and accepted by God.” Good thing, because I can’t do when I try, which is pretty much always. At the same time, I don’t see anything wrong with ME having a beer. Some people shouldn’t… kids, alcoholics (or me in the company of an alcoholic), and school bus drivers on duty, are a few.

So anyway…

As for blog design. Can I say “I’ll beat any competitor by 10%?” I probably better not go that far because there are levels of effort and creativity. But I’m looking for work and just getting started, so right now there are deals to be had!

I think the struggle you find within yourself is much the same that Paul, you know the one in the Bible??? ) talked about……..I think the fact that you have convictions is a huge reflection of who God has made you to be. And I like that. I enjoy your posts, and Kim’s too, and hope that you will continue to do so. You have fabulous ideas and a great sense of humor. Complicated is not bad at all…..as long as you know the grace and mercy of God, what difference does it make whether you have man’s or woman’s approval (ultimately). I realize you don’t want to seem offensive, but you’ve got what really matters, I think….sorry if I’ve written a book instead of a comment….so what do you charge for such awesome blog transformations??????
