Sweet heart on your son...that's great.

Picture taking on reflective services? No clue. I took a picture of a gun cabinet my husband built for a client, glass in the front. Sent them to my sister and she suggested I not take pics naked...told her that I was in the garage in November in CO...that was NOT the situation...jeans and sweatshirt...I hope my figure is slightly better than that ;D

That was a wonderful post.

Love your son's tender heart, and the reasons he wanted the tea pot.
And aren't people nice who are willing to deal on their things.
That is part of the fun, isn't it.

Blessing,
Barbara Jean

That is so sweet that Jacob wanted the tea pot because of reading about Johnny Tremain!

I don't know a way to get rid of your reflection. Maybe if you shot from farther away with a zoom lens, at least the reflection would be smaller. I think the reflection is kind of cool, though. It adds more interest to the photo!

Kim, I loved this story, especially the part about Jacob's heart.
It reminds me of how I got MY silver Tea Set.
Ask your husband (aka--my son).
Jacob seems to be a chip off the old block :).
How cool!!

I LOVE this post, and I love Core Three. We did it a few years ago, and Johnny Tremain was one of our favorites.
When I read your line about slamming on the brakes and having your son feel like he was going to die, I thought...my kind of lady, my kids can completely understand that - they live it as well. :)
I have a very similar tea pot, and just love it.

What a cute story. It's wonderful that he was reminded of the story he read, just by seeing the teapot.

My only tip for photographing shiny things is to make sure everything reflected looks nice. :)

Your son sounds so sweet. What a neat memory of both the book you read together and they bait trip.
