Tasty Tuesday – Lunch Time!

tasty tuesday sandwiches

Welcome to lunch at our house! This wasn’t what I originally had planned for today, but you know how things can go sometimes.

We’re having Cuban Sandwiches that my family loves when I cut them up and serve them this way! It was too beautiful to eat inside, so we took to the porch for lunch.

Do any of you great cooks know how to make Cuban Bread? Yum! I think I could live off of it!

My cuban sandwiches are loaded up with sweet ham, spanish pork, swiss cheese {Boar’s Head Lacey Swiss}, sweet pickles, mayonaise, and mustard. I know some people don’t add pork to their Cubans, but they are missing out!

This is the last week I’ll be hosting Tasty Tuesday on Forever Wherever! It has been so much fun, and having all the great recipes in one spot has been wonderful!

Thanks for the time you’ve hosted this. I’ve never heard of sub sandwiches being called Cubans. They sound yummy!

Now Kim, you can’t post a pic of delish looking Cubans without posting the official recipe, you do know that don’t you?! ;)

Today for lunch I’m making the girls Pioneer Woman’s (www.http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/ ) macaroni and cheese. It’s actually cold today in FL (well, cold for a Floridian w/thin blood) and homemade mac-n-cheese sounds just right. =)

When I moved to Florida, back when I was a kid, I was introduced to cuban sandwiches. I totally loved them. We even used to be served them in the school cafeteria.

Now that I moved away, I really miss them. I try to get one whenever I go back to visit.

I’m sorry to hear this is the last Tasty Tuesday! Is someone else hosting it? Even though I wasn’t always able to participate, I enjoyed coming and reading every one’s contributions.

Oh, I love Cuban sandwiches! They remind me of the 10 years my parents lived in the Florida Keys.

Okay, I’m hungry now. I was fine before I saw that picture, Kim! LOL
