Hooked on The Rays!

A Great Day for a Parade!

rays float

We recently joined the crowd of people downtown to welcome The Rays for Spring Training.  Only a parade would do for this World Series team!

It was the perfect day for this fun event. The streets were lined with fans and the players were waving and throwing beads.

Here’s one of Jacob’s favorite team members…

We were happy to get David Price’s autograph on his shirt and a hat!

He did a wonderful job pitching in The World Series this year!  I think Jacob was wishing I would hurry up and take the picture already!

This is one of the best float out there…

The cannons make such a loud noise they could scare you to death.  At the end of the parade they let all the kids check it out.  Being a major pirate lover, Jacob didn’t turn down that opportunity!

Jacob was able to get about 30 autographs of The World Series Rays players on his shirt! He was thrilled!  We’re going to hang it up in his bedroom.

Since we used to live in Tampa and we all were at the very first Tampa Bay Rays game…we’re hooked on them. It was so much fun watching them beat all odds and make it to the World Series.  We aren’t the biggest baseball fans in the world, but you gotta love it when your home team wins, right?

I’m not really a baseball fan – - – but your Rays did catch my attention last year when they made their Cinderella run.

My dad lives near Tampa. During the World Series, I was cheering for the Rays too! They are my second favorite baseball team after the Arizona Diamondbacks. After all, I have to go with our home team.
